Hey Where's Our Apple iPad Mini?

Apple knows how to work its market. After getting hold of news about an Apple iPad Mini launch by October which has now seems to be exactly what is- pure gossip! To begin with, the Apple iPad Mini is a rumored product at 7.3 millimeters thick as the normal iPad. And more gossip about this rumored Apple product being shipped out, photo leaked and now having production delays is taking over social media. Now they're just trying to whet our appetites!

True as one blogpost commenter Kevin from Texas said, Apple doesn't need a holiday shopping frenzy. They get a shopping frenzy no matter when they release a product.

What's Up with the iPad Camera Connection Kit?

Make downloading photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad easier with the iPad Camera Connection Kit. The kit is composed of two connectors, each with its own separate interface.

Just plug the Camera Connector into the dock connector port on your iPad, then attach your digital camera or iPhone using a USB cable (the kit features a USB interface). However, the iPhone 3G is not supported. You can also use the SD Card Reader to transfer photos and videos from your digital camera's SD card to your iPad, then you can put your digital camera's SD card into the proper slot.

After you make the connection, your iPad auto launches a Photos app, which allows users to select which photos and videos to import into their library. You can then organize the photos into individual albums. The iPad and the Camera Connection Kit supports JPEG and RAW formats plus SD and HD video formats (H.264 and MPEG-4).

14 Year-old Genius Creates Far Better Game App Than Angry Birds

A 14-year-old from Utah is now giving the Angry Birds Game App a run for its money. Robert Nay is what you can call a born-coder who has spent the better part of the school year creating Bubble Ball, a physics simulator and a free downloadable game app in the Apple App Store.

Being a minor, his supportive mom Kari Nay does all the legal stuff for him like signing contracts and submitting Apps to the App store and other Android marketplaces.

Penny Auctions: Heads or Tails?

Penny Auctions are not for everyone but they are quite very popular lately. I don't see penny auctions having any staying power over most consumers, there maybe a handful of people who are into that penny bidding subculture. They are called PRObidders and it works for them. They breathe and live through winning in penny auctions. And they amassed stuff they don't need, kinda like hoarders, they just like winning and bidding for hours on end.

Though some penny auction sites may be rock solid, true to what they are offering (though some do not have much credibility and offer dismal prizes). There are the legit and awesome ones like quibids.com in the US and ziinga.com in the UK. So choose your penny bidding playground wisely :)

For me, Penny auction sites that offer cheap coupons as prizes are an honest let down. I mean if you're gonna spend money on bid packs that are worth $50 to $100 bucks you might as well score some big shit. Not some useless discount coupon for a latte. Otherwise, its not worth your time. Not worth the game play. By gameplay, what I mean is, there's something called the 'thrill' behind winning prizes (kinda like the mystery behind a magician's prestige) you're addicted to knowing what bag of tricks are out there. Its not just about winning and cashing out your lot. But if you have nothing better to do, but troll 4chan or tweet all day. Why not try your hand at penny auctions? You have nothing to lose, but the shirt off your back. Just kidding!

The iPad Camera Resolution: iPad 2 vs iPad 3

So is the iPad camera on the new iPad3 a big leap from its predecessor the iPad 2? People are raving about the difference between the still imagery, photos taken with the iPad 3 camera are crisp at 1080 resolution, better than the iPad 2 camera. The video capture didn't show much improvement from the iPad 2. Not much different perhaps? Here are some comparisons- what do you think?

If you're gonna use the camera mode quite frequently, the new ipad 3 would be a much better option. Well, pretty much decent for a mobile device camera though you're better off with a compact DSLR or a mobile phone for now. Well, this is just the 3rd gen attempt on the iPad, I'm sure the camera will be pretty awesome a few Gens later :)

Would You Take Photos with Your iPad Camera?

Would it be a hip idea going around taking pics with a large tablet held up over your face. Are people going around taking pics with their iPads? Maybe the hipsters, camwhores and the geeks are at it, but the general public?
Strike an awkward pose with your ipad camera!
No iPad camera love? Not yet, anyway. That trend is not there yet, but so far Apple has that in mind. Apple wants us to forego that point-and-click cameras and go for their stylish tablets with its built-in high-def retina display and 5-megapixel camera. You got 2 cameras on the iPad, the backside camera and the front camera. The backside camera being the preferred point-and-shoot option while the front side is the FaceTime video chat camera.

I don't think camera hobbyists would be keen on taking pics with their iPad. But for any layman on the go, why not just enjoy what Apple has to give?
